Recumbent Cycle Convention

Hello all! Most of this past weekend was spent at the Los Angeles County Fairplex in Pomona, CA where I enjoyed many happy hours viewing all sorts of new, high-tech recumbent tricycles and bicycles. There was no lack of enthusiasm and I think everyone who attended was very impressed.

Manufacturers from all over the globe were present. AZUB, ICE, and HP Velotechnik were some of the big guns present, but many shop owners, many from out of state, participated in the event. I was given the opportunity to share a booth with Steve Greene and Janet Buckwalter. We answered many questions from excited enthusiasts.

One highlight for me personally was my meeting with the AZUB guys, who came over all the way from Czechoslovakia. I made sure I told them I was still greatly enjoying my TRIcon.

It was fun watching people riding through the tryout ring, enjoying perhaps their first ride on a recumbent tricycle or bicycle. I’ll be looking forward to next year’s show.

  1. Woo hoo! Saw our new e2 folding trike in the video. We were excited about AZUB also. Even though we manufacture, we also are shop owners and the guys at AZUB make some awesome stuff. Planning on carrying their stuff in our shop right alongside our own offerings.
