Furies of Calderon

If you love science fiction and adventure, this is a great read. The story is an astounding cross between Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

My niece turned me on to Jim Butcher last summer and I have working my way through the series. I am about to finish book two.

The story is about a young student, who unlike others of his race, has no "furies". In other words, he has no natural ability to call upon the hidden powers of nature to assist him. However, as the story unwinds, he finds a way to prove his own worth.

The story is full of fantastic imagery, monstors, heros, villians, beautiful ladies, warriors, and will keep you turning the pages until the end. It's a GNO recommended title.
