Background Complete

Yahoo! The background painting is complete! Next I will trim out the top and left edges with some wood trim, then install it behind the layout. The wood trim will help keep the canvas on the exposed edges from fraying.

You can see that there is a lack of detail in the lower right corner, but that will be covered with landscaping, as will the bottom three inches of the entire painting. Aside from the cans of spray paint that were used to do the sky, this entire painting was done with a one inch brush. Yikes!

At least I can get the thing out of the garage now, before it gets ruined. Below is a close-up of the right end. After the background is in place the next project will be devising a rail cleaning car. Stay tuned!
