Background Installed

Okay, as you can see from the shot above, the background is installed on the layout. So far I have only worked on the "hill" in the far corner, by placing some tree tops to fill in the space between the hill and the painting. The shadow that is created there is a bit unsightly. I may have to install some over head lighting especially for the layout.

A few Christmases ago my Aunt Augustine gave my son some collectible plaster houses, which are perfectly scaled for the layout. I promptly requisitioned them, and will use them on the layout to create an upscale neighborhood on the East End of the layout.

I will next work on detailing the lumber yard. I want to install a chainlink fence behind the lumber yard to keep the town residents off the track. I won't be seen much behind the buildings, but it will make me feel better. After that I will start filling in the landscaping along the back edge of the layout. Thanks for stopping by.
