Looking West

Model railroad layout, looking west.

In this photo you see the layout looking to the West End from the East End. This is where most of the work has taken place so far.

In the far corner is a small set of hills that was built using fairly traditional techniques. The bridge slicing off from the reverse loop, carries the main line around the downtown area before returning under the bridge past the staging yards.

The locking tower is a laser wood kit. The tanks and shed are plastic kits. Final placement of these structures is close to final, but they are glued down.

The three branches on the far left of the photo lead into what will be a service building for the locos. Under the bridge you can see part of a warehouse. All of these structures need repair work and cleaning just from sitting so long. In subsequent pictures I will detail each of these areas.
