PuddingstoneA Local Gem
Boy did we every discover a local gem for popup camping close to home! Our neighbor had told us about it a long time ago. Last week, driven by a wild hair, we did a drive through. Gorgeous; what a surprise. The name of the place is called East Shore RV Park. It's near Benelli Park, which is 15 minutes away from our house in San Dimas.
It has all the ammenities i.e. hiking, camping, fishing, boating, etc. It's lit well at night and patrolled very well 24/7. At night it's quiet by 8:00 p.m. unlike some places we have been to before. We will definitely go back again.
Here's Mama posing at the door. This is a traditional shot which must be in every entry.

The lake was literally only twenty yards away, and each site has access to green lawns and benches.

Yes, there are fish in the lake. Two large bass swam by Friday morning and gave me the "fish-eye" from two yards from shore. Did I catch any? No! Well, two; one fell off te hook and bounced back into the lake, the other was only a quarter inch longer than my lure. I let him go.

In the afternoon there was plenty of shade and cool breezes.

The noisiest people there were the huge carp splashing nearby, and two birds in the below photograph. Talk about the odd couple: a goose and a duck. Even after a chased them away with a camping chair they came back later that afternoon just to keep us company.

All-in-all it was one of our best trips. Very relaxing, quiet, close fishing. Best off all it took us only 20 minutes to drive home. Awesome. We plan another trip soon.
